Poppy has spent a lot of time in Africa to build a Primary School for the children of Lungi and created a charity Lungi Sierra Leone. What started off with an idea to replace a leaky roof on a bamboo structure, it has evolved into a concrete building for over 500 children. After years of working as cabin crew for British Airways, she decided to change her career path to go into education.

Poppy lives locally with her husband and two children. Her BA (Hons) degree in Child Psychology gave insight in how children learn, think, interact and respond emotionally to those around them. As well as understand emotions and children’s developing personalities, temperaments and skills. When her two children turned 3 and 1 she found her love for silly games for teaching Early Years stage 1 phonics and counting. She graduated as an Early Years Teacher when her youngest was 2. Poppy is also Ofsted registered Childminder and has completed her SENCO Level3 training.
